A NEW YEAR=NEW EXPECTATIONS

These pics were taken on Christmas Eve at my aunt's place.

It has been confirmed that I am going to be FT to 1N1. Right, definitely it sounds less threatening and terrifying than the previous T class, but one ain't sure what these kids in this class has in-store for u! haa! I will be working together with co-form chinese teacher. I'm in two committees...one in staff welfare, and the other in arts education committee. I really hope to see music being appreciated across the whole school not just the classes I teach. I also wish to form another pop band. Current pop band, Drastic Turnover, performed their first public gig at Bukit Batok CC- a countdown party to usher in the new year. We have been at it for more than 6 months. Although, 2 members (bass guitarist and 2nd drummer) left because of personal reasons, the band is still surviving. (pictures will be uploaded later...I am still resizing them...aaahh no time la!)

Here's an update of what happened last week...too lazy to write about it, so here are the pics..

We had a Christmas party at Matthew's place.

Random Updates abt me...

For the past one week, I have been busy with buying stuff and groceries for tonight's cellgroup Christmas Party. I am cooking Smoked Salmon Pasta (tomato based) and dearie is ordering pork knuckles from Cold Storage. As it is a potluck, N211 members will each bring a dish for tonight. Friends are invited to come and brace this joyous occasion too. There will be carolling too...ahem, this group of singers are not professionals mind you! Under the guidance of me "their choir teacher", I have taught them how to sing since last Monday and we are actually performing tonight. Singing three carols. One unison voices with piano accompaniment, one is three part voicing and the other in African-style singing.

I will be posting these pictures to update on this party...stay tuned!

20 December 2006, Wednesday (late night supper)

I have finally gotten a chance to go down to Race Course Road to try the Ah Lam's noodles. It was about 10plus when we arrived there...There weren't enough parking lots so we waited quite a while in the car. About 10-15 mins later, we managed to park the car to eat there, was actually thinking to buy take-away instead. By right, I should'nt be eating supper because I am on a non-carbo diet. In an effort to slim down, I cut down on my carbo intake since Dec. I do have a 'free day' once a week to work up the metabolism rate. And this free day, I can eat anything but in smaller portions.

The noodles tasted good especially the gravy. Dearie ate the abalone noodles while I tried the normal minced meat noodles. The chilli is nice. Dearie also ordered the 'Kong bak bao' (stewed fatty pork meat in bun) and stewed bean curd. I love the tasty bean curd...Nicole loves them too.

This picture was taken at vivo city yesterday, we were waiting for my dad to pick us up, cos I didnt drive there...I was with mum and nicole; we were there to collect clothes we have reserved over the phone. Will be wearing one of them tonight...black polka dot top.

God loves me

I was taken by surprise when you laid hands and spoke to me God's words during a time of ministering. At that very instant when you said that God actually love me, my tears just flowed down my face uncontrollably. Indeed, I was struggling with some problems which I shall not mentioned here. It turned out true and real when God said that I was actually convincing myself over and over again that I am being loved by Him when actually He really does love me. Perhaps, it may be some faults and mistakes I have made in my past that made me wallow in self-pity. Perhaps, I still couldn't forgive myself for the things I have done in the past. Anyway, I am learning to let it go slowly, and knowing that I am afterall God's child, feeling His love for me. Thank you Father...I love You too...

Kaboom! An explosive year ahead of me...

It's going to be an explosive year ahead of me...Firstly, I have confirmed my deg course at uniSIM. (Pastor preached about our education, and here I am!) I have altogether 3 subjects for the very first semester. Introduction to Humanities I, Effective Communication and Contract & Agency Law. I have studied Contract & Agency Law back in my poly days, so I think it would be easier for me to catch up. Above all these, I am going to meet new friends...yeah! It's time to widen my circle of friends.

haha...so excited and anxious about the coming 2007!

shall take a nap now..ciaoz!

Don't Speak

I am down with a bad flu again... I've gotten it from none other than lil' nicole. Now, all three of us (dearie, me n nic) are infected with the flu virus. I didn't get a chance to go for prayer meeting either cos I was coughing badly. Nevertheless, I still went down to PS music plaza get some music books for tmr's new students staying at CCK. (both grade 4 & 5) I am also feeling bad because I didnt make it for bs too. Seriously, I didn't want Xiaoyun to catch the flu virus too. Well, I am taking dearie's medication...hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. I trust You Lord!

I just want to make clear abt certain things. You may choose to think that this other person is of childish mindset. Let me tell you something...when someone is sick, he or she needs some personal attention and that's natural. There is absolutely nothing wrong asking for some personal care. If you really want to say names that will hurt others, I really think you should think twice before you say it out. When you are sick, I am sure you wouldn't like it if someone calls you something you wouldn't like to hear.

Building Sand Castles at East Coast Park

27 November 2006, Sunday

We had great fun building sand castles at East Coast Park(beach area near East Coast Lagoon Food centre). Organised by Maurice, we were told to arrive at 3.30pm. We waited for quite awhile for the instructor, Mr Alvin Lee, an engineer by profession, to start his workshop. Featured on tv and newspapers, he was the guy who created the tools for building sand castles and making it a fun yet challenging thing for families and friends. It was indeed a great feat for us, being first-timers. Believe me, it wasn't as easy as we first thought it would be. Here's the pictures...
