Holiday adventures with lil nicole...Part 1

Guess I was too lazy to update my blog. It's more than a month now. Haha...from daily posts to monthly posts, soon it will be yearly posts. Alright, I will try to be more faithful in my updates.

The month of December was an adventure I must say. I had a nose operation, day surgery which lasted two hours in the operating theatre (what doctors called deviated septum - blocked nose due to bone structure) and was on a two-week MC. The ordeal was terrible because I could hardly breathe or talk or eat or drink for two days. I had this long gauze stucked in my nose for a day. I had to take strong painkillers (ponstan) to make myself sleep and not think of the pain. Well, I guessed the pics you'd see later will make you go eeewwww, but I'm still gonna show you. heck!

At the day ward...Anxiously waiting for my turn to be called for the operation

Grateful that Eileen was with me the whole day keeping me company throughout.
Thanks Eileen!

This was taken the next morning...you could see the gauze filled with blood. Was on my way to the hospital for the doc to take out the long gauze in my nose.

An overview of my nose

Amidst all the pain, I think the operation was worthwhile because I could now breathe entirely through my nose! My next operation would be to cut off my tonsils. Doc said I have extra large tonsils which is the reason why I do get sore throat easily.

This holiday season was well spent with my lil princess. I brought her out, went shopping, had lunch with her Godma Eileen, went out together with Popo, even took her along to BBSS grad nite. Ha! I didnt really take any pics that night but this pic is courtesy of Esther.Next, I met up with my colleagues for lunch at Hog's breath Vivo city. Lunch was ok but company was great! Ruth brought Shanae along, Aiwei brought her son Ethan, Conz brought Edison too and of coz, nicole came along too!

Ok, I will continue the next episode with more pics...let me upload this post first. To be continued...

My cellgroup had a fellowship nightout at night safari. It so happened that night safari was also celebrating halloween. There were so many spooky zombies around, of course they were not real. There were just people dressing up as one! It was a very fun night indeed.

A day at the hair salon

Haha...my first time posting videos of nicole in my blog. See how calm she was while the hairstylist cut her long curly hair

My Birthday pressies

This was handmade by Maria. Pictures brought back memories.

This was from Huijun. Something which I didnt expect. She has great taste though!

Lastly, this lovely blue daisy from Xiaoyun. She wanted to buy me a purple one, knowing that I love purple, it was unavailable so she got me a blue one instead.

Evelyn & Dennis got me a burberry's Brit perfume. It has got a tutti frutti smell.

Dearie bought me this Coach bag. Love the design of the bag.

Eileen gave me a tube of handcream, lip colour palette, and pearl earrings
Ellouise got me a box of famous amos cookies and a cosmetic pouch bag.
My cellgroup gave me a pair of dangling earrings and a shiny gold belt
Mrs J. Loh gave me a box of cookies and a nice card.
Thank you all for making my birthday a special one!

Random pics taken by Nicole herself with absolutely no help from anyone

Yeah...these pictures were taken by Nicole herself. With absolutely no help from anyone, she snapped these pictures using my SE K810i. She found the trill taking pictures like this. Not bad for a start ya?

Long Time Since I blogged...

Busy is the buzz word for me this month. I hardly have time to blog because of my night classes commitments and assignments awaiting for me to complete. My body is weaker this month as I met up with Mr flu virus, Mr Cough and Mr Migraine. My next visit to the doctor @ NUH is on the 22 October. I shall insist on the nose operation because I can hardly bear with the continuous problems I have with my nose anymore. Enough is enough! To add on to the sufferings, I've just sprained my lower back. Gosh, what is happening to me?

Students of 1n1, it's a pity that I have not started marking your English paper due to my health reasons. But rest assured, I will start marking once I finished my assignments which are supposedly due on Friday.

Yep, it's my big day today. Firstly, I want to thank all my friends for their birthday greetings and pressies. I would also like to thank my buddy Eileen...she has been wonderful. Thank you for all the happy times and memories together. To Mrs Loh (though she isnt going to read this) Happy Birthday to you! Thank you for the pressie and the card! You are such a sweet colleague! (fyi:Our birthday falls on the same day!) To Maria, thank you for the handmade gift. You've touched my heart as a teacher and friend. All I want to say is, I hope to see more students using and maximising their fullest potential. I thank God for His gifts that I could discern your talent and your dreams to becoming a performer. You certainly did well for the M concert. Continue to pursue your dreams as a singer/broadway star.

Alritey, here is how I celebrated my birthday...

My parents brought me to Werner's Oven for their famous pork knuckles. It is located at my ex-piano teacher's residence. Upper East Coast road. I remembered Ms Yew used to tell me about their authentic German cuisine. After all these years, I did however tell my parents about it. After watching a food variety programme on channel 8, my parents decided to give it a try. They came back giving me good reviews about the food Werner's Oven served.

Next up, I treated my buddy eileen, sis & dennis and of cos my dearie and lil' princess to an exquisite dinner at Da Paolo il gardino. I love fine dining! My colleague, Conz, recommended the place, we went for lunch together and the food simply won me over. Enough said...here's the pics (apologies for the fuzzy pics)

Click here for more pics...(it takes too long to upload them here)

This was how I spent the first few hours of my birthday. Despite my sprained back, I agreed to meet up with Eileen at Clinic. Click here to view pics...

Just as I thought that was the end of it all...My dad brought us to Jack's place for dinner. Click here to view pics...

2 Sept Part II of Teacher's Day celebration

I really appreciate this party organised by my form class 1N1. They are such sweet people. Charmaine planned and organised it on behalf of the whole class. It was raining that evening but they were so enthusiastic about celebrating with me that I stayed on..Nic, dearie & I were actually hiding in their tiny tent they have set up. We went over to the food centre to have our dinner. We had the usual wan tan mee and fried oyster. After dinner, we joined the kids. Charmaine's mum bought a cake. They sang, I made a wish and cut the mango cake. They also presented me with a big poster with my makeover photo and one taken with Nic and also big prints saying, "1N1 loves Ms Tang". We left at around 9.30pm. Thank you all who have made this a special day for me to remember. I am really touched! Love you people!
